چکیده

Scientists suggest that soy isoflavones or the combination of and protein may have beneficial effects on inflammation. Thus, present study aims at conducting a systematic review meta-analysis randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in which effect serum concentration C-reactive (CRP) among postmenopausal women is assessed. A literature searching was done to identify breadth related references PubMed, Scopus, ISI Web Science, Cochrane Library, Clinicaltrials.gov up December 2020. The mean change from baseline CRP concentrations its standard deviation (SD) for both intervention comparison groups were used calculate size. summary overall heterogeneity estimated by using DerSimonian Laird random model. protocol registered PROSPERO (No. CRD42020166053). This considered 23 articles 19 meta-analysis. presented non-significant (WMD = 0.08 mg/L, 95 % CI: -0.08, 0.24; p 0.302) indicated levels (WMD= -0.02 mg/L -0.12, 0.08; 0.715). Published RCTs did not provide strong evidence regarding women.

Effects of isoflavones (soy phyto-estrogens) on serum lipids: a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

OBJECTIVES To determine the effects of isoflavones (soy phyto-estrogens) on serum total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) and triglyceride (TG). METHODS We searched electronic databases and included randomized trials with isoflavones interventions in the forms of tablets, isolated soy protein or soy diets. Review Manager 4....

Soy protein containing isoflavones and mammographic density in a randomized controlled trial in postmenopausal women.

BACKGROUND The relatively high dietary intake of soy in Asian countries has been hypothesized to, at least partly, explain the lower breast cancer incidence patterns in these countries compared with the Western world. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of daily soy supplementation on mammographic density, one of the strongest known risk factors for breast cancer. METHODS...

Soy foods, isoflavones, and the health of postmenopausal women.

Over the past 2 decades, soy foods have been the subject of a vast amount of research, primarily because they are uniquely rich sources of isoflavones. Isoflavones are classified as both phytoestrogens and selective estrogen receptor modulators. The phytoestrogenic effects of isoflavones have led some to view soy foods and isoflavone supplements as alternatives to conventional hormone therapy. ...

Soy isoflavones and immunity.

The amount of soy products consumed in Japan is much greater than that in Western countries. Recent evidence indicates that soy isoflavones play a beneficial role in obesity, cancer, osteoporosis, and cardiovascular disease. The soybean isoflavone genistein is present at high levels in soy products. Genistein is structurally similar to 17beta-estradiol (E2), and genistein has been suggested to ...

Effect of Different Doses of Soy Isoflavones on Spatial Learning and Memory in Ovariectomized Rats

Introduction: Several studies indicate that estrogen use increase performance on some tests of cognition especially in postmenopausal women. These steroids have many side effects, thus, other estrogenic agents with fewer side effects are needed to develop alternative treatment strategies. The main objection of this study was to evaluate the effects of different doses of dietary soy meals (with ...
